It is that time again, time for everyone's favorite spring event, cathedral's annual Crawfish Countdown! This year we are super excited to announce a big change to the event, instead of a company cooking the crawfish for everyone, we've turned the event into a cook-off! We will have teams of Cathedral alumni, parents, and friends fighting for a chance to be the Crawfish Kings or Queens! And all the attendees will have a chance to join the fun by voting for their favorite team in the People's Choice Category!
We hope everyone will come out and join us for a night of fun competition, crawfish, jambalaya, cold beverages, raffles, and as always, a chance to win $5,000! This year we will have LIVE music from Charlie Hugg!!
A free dress day will be offered again this year to any cathedral student who sells a ticket to Crawfish Countdown! There is a blank on each ticket for students’ name, please include their grade as well. If a family purchases a ticket, each child in the family gets a free dress day. The date of the free dress will be announced later.
We have, in the past, had numerous people ask about single person tickets. Well, ask and you shall receive. This year we have two ticket options; a couple's ticket is $125, and a single person ticket is $75 (this option is perfect if your significant other is on a cooking team). Each ticket comes with entrance to the drawdown. Second chance insurance is available for $25 and allows your ticket, if drawn within the first 100 tickets to be placed back into the pot for a second chance at the grand prize. Also, don't forget to mark on your ticket if you would like to SPLIT or CHANCE IT ALL. If the final four tickets are ALL marked SPLIT, the grand prize will be split between those final four people. If ANY of the last four tickets are marked CHANCE IT ALL, the drawdown will continue until we have ONE lucky winner.
You may purchase your tickets by using cash, check, or credit card. Tickets can be dropped off at any school office, mailed to 701 N. Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Street, Natchez, MS, 39120 or you can purchase them online at cathedralgreenwave.com by clicking the Donate Now (at the top of the home page), then clicking the blue button which will direct you to purchase your 2025 Crawfish Countdown tickets. Please be sure to add your child's name to the notes section of your online donation.
Take out orders will be available for $40 until 7 P.M.
