Cathedral is hosting a speaker, Ward Blanchard, on drug awareness on Tuesday August 8th. Ward has many years of experience, several credentials, and is passionate about educating and helping people in this field. Some of the topics discussed will be an overview of the various types of drugs, dangers and harms of drug & alcohol use, addiction, peer pressure, legal implications, statistics and real life stories.
There will be two sessions at Cathedral on Tuesday, August 8th. Middle School students at 8:15 and High School at 9:30 in the gym. Ward really feels the bigger impact will be made to students if parents are in attendance as well. We are asking for parents, grandparents, and friends to attend one of the sessions (even if your children are younger than middle school). It should last about 45 minutes with 15 minutes for questions. We're offering a free dress pass to students (all grades) with at least one parent there at either session. PJ's coffee will be served by the CPO.
