Technology

The last few years have seen the implementation and use of technology increase dramatically on the Cathedral campus.  Well, if the English department will pardon me “You ain’t seen nothun’ yet!”

What has been implemented is the basic infrastructure and tools needed to deliver instruction to the classroom and support administrative functions.  The next, and exciting step, is the melding of technology into the academic experience.  Most adults who graduated a “few” years ago, view technology as a separate experience or a part to be added to the mix.  Today’s students are so comfortable with technology, that they only notice its absence.  These students expect technology in their daily environment.

To create this atmosphere of learning, Cathedral has at least one Internet connected computer in every classroom, three different computer labs, network printers through out campus, and various applications for the faculty’s use.

We are a long way from finished, and realistically with technology, one is never finished.  However, the ground work is done and with the help of the Cathedral family, we will strive to maintain and improve the technological presence on the Cathedral campus.
