Cathedral School participates in Community Coffees' Cash for Schools
program, recently receiving a check for $1,773. Community Cash for Schools
is a program that helps participating schools by collecting UPCs from
Community products. These product UPCs are redeemed for cash which the
school can spend at its discretion. This program is entering its 20th year,
and to date has helped schools generate over $4,000,000.

Cathedral School is pleased to announce the purchase and placement of twenty-six Promethean ActivBoards - one in every classroom in the Elementary School, three in the Jr. High and nine in the High School, six of which were purchased with the proceeds from The Tracey Dennig Roberts Memorial Golf Tournament.  Additional, a portable Promethean Board is housed in the High School Library.  A Promethean ActivBoard easily creates engaging lessons and captivates students with a fresh approach to learning that they can see, touch, hear and, most importantly, understand. The interactive whiteboards enable anything that can be seen or done on a computer screen to be projected onto a whiteboard.

Cathedral's IT Specialist, Mrs. Rita Beane, is in the process of training
faculty members while other teachers, such as Mrs. Jessica Carter, are
presently taking advantage of the ActivBoards, having used them in the past.
